This is a marvellous commentary on the importance of international students and scholars not just to our institutions, but to our lives. I know that I was concerned when moving to New Hampshire 17 years ago, after living the life of a global nomad, that I would not have the exposure to diversity and inter-culturalism that I was used to having. With a newborn son, as well, I worried that he would grow up not aware of the richness of cuture in the "outside" world. When I took my first job as an international advisor, however, all my worries disappeared. I am so grateful to the international students that we have known, and for the connections that I and my family have made, and kept, over the years. It is so true, that to count only the economic benefits, is to miss the main point....
Thanks!
